Abdul Ghaffar Mughal

Dr. Abdul Ghaffar Mughal is a Fellow at Demos Tunisia. He comes with a highly diverse track record in economics with more than 30 years of experience in teaching, research and consultancy in over 15 countries. Dr. Mughal’s work includes research in international labour migration and political economy of education funded by the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, UNICEF and International Organization for Migration. He was a member of the 2020 G20 Task Force 7 on G20 Support for Sustainable Development Goals. Dr. Mughal has excellent knowledge of survey methodology and has conducted household surveys in the Former Soviet Union and North Macedonia. Dr. Mughal has led many research teams, including a Swiss Development Agency Funded project and an IOM/UNDP-sponsored report. His current research is focused on the Political Economy of Muslim countries. Currently, he is a Visiting Professor of Economics at Northeastern University in Boston.
