Kano Konda

Ms. Kano Konda is a Ph.D. Student in Cultural Anthropology at the Graduate School of Intercultural Studies, Kobe University, Japan. She is also a Doctoral Research Fellow with the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS). Her research explores the experiences of democratization through participant observation and people’s storytelling. In particular, she focuses on the everyday micro-politics surrounding sharaf (honour) and hogra (humiliation) in rural Tunisian society. Her work is supported by the K. Matsushita International Scholarship.
